Recently I've come across GoCustomized.co.uk a ridiculously simple little website where you upload photos of your own and create a personalised phone case. I'm the kind of person that absolutely loves having things that no one else (or not many people) has, so having a phone case with my own photo on ticks all the boxes.

I chose a hard case (my phone is dropped. A LOT) with a full wrap, so my photo goes all the way round the case. It feels very sturdy, lucky for me and my level of clumsiness, and fits so closely it doesn't add too much extra bulk to my phone.

You can make your own iPhone 6S case HERE along with loads of other phone models! A perfect present for anyone, or even yourself.

Merry Christmas!

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE | What To Buy Him For Under £20

Christmas, gift guide, lifestyle, men, style, under £20, wish list, wishlist, tesco, H and M, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, him,

Men can be bloomin' hard to buy for. Fact. The number of times I've almost bought the exact same book I bought my dad the previous Christmas is more than I'd care to admit.. But as I said in PART ONE, I adore finding perfect presents for people. It's refreshing making a wishlist for men's stuff, sometimes it gets boring looking at all that pink/floral rubbish... Just kidding, I love you girly stuff, please forgive me.

So here are my picks for what to get the man (or even woman, I'd certainly be happy receiving most of these) in your life. I know most are cliché, the scarf, the hat, a mug. But it's the thought that counts right?

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE | What To Buy Her For Under £20

under £20, women, gift guide, Christmas, H and M, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, ban.do, unicorn, skinnydip, phone case, cushion, candle, New Look, pom pom, wish list, wishlist, lifestyle, style,

I love Christmas, as I went through my teens it lost a bit of the magic for me, I probably thought I was too cool for it. Typical. But now I can't get enough of it. Buying presents for people is genuinely one of my favourite activities too, I love shopping after all. But the feeling of 'YES! That'd be perfect for *insert relative/friend/colleague name here*', it's just so oddly satisfying.

But for those people who are a little stuck for a woman in their life, a friend, girlfriend, mum, sister maybe, I've complied a list of inexpensive but gorgeous presents perfect for any woman - or man, this is 2015 after all.  Maybe even me, hint hint, nudge nudge.

Stay tuned for PART TWO - What To Buy For Men Under £20.

My hometown Winchester is genuinely one of the nicest places I've ever experienced at Christmas time (this year the Christmas lights turn on was featured on The One Show, yeah, no biggie). Here's a little photo diary of how I'd spend a day in Winchester over Christmas..

LIFESTYLE | November Favourites

black boots, Boots, candle, ELLE, favourites, IKEA, Kate Moss, lace up, lifestyle, lipstick, month favourites, New Look, pom pom, Primark, style, fashion, home, home decor,

It's been a while since I've done one of these monthly favourite posts, it usually because I'm not organised enough. Shocker. But there have been a few things that I've been absolutely loving recently, therefore chewing the ears off my friends/housemates/family about how much I love them.. Sorry guys..

black boots, Boots, candle, ELLE, favourites, IKEA, Kate Moss, lace up, lifestyle, lipstick, month favourites, New Look, pom pom, Primark, style, fashion, home, home decor,

Lace Up Aquazzura Dupe Flats - Primark

Recently a friend and I decided to go for a shopping trip in Leeds. When I say 'shopping', I actually mean 'Primark'. £87 later, I returned with these beauties (among many other things of course). I know I'm super late to the bandwagon here. My shoe-game has been pretty weak recently, (sorry trusty Converse), so for £10 I welcomed myself to the Aquazzura Dupe party.

Gingerbread 'Vinter' Candle - IKEA

As you can tell by how little is left, this candle is almost constantly burning. It fills my room with the most amazing gingerbread-y smell. And if I burn my vanilla candles at the same time it smells too good. (Sorry for going all Scream Queens Candle Vlogger girl on you there). Plus how pretty is the frosted glass?!

December ELLE

I just love this cover, aka I'm a stereotypical blogger, I know I say it enough, but still. I love Alexa, those eyes, phwoar, and the styling. I never buy magazines but just had to grab this one. The little Benefit mini may have helped to sway my opinion too..

Deer Skull Silver Ring - Rose Waterfall Garden

I had my eye on this ring for months, never quite being able to justify buying it. So when I saw it had gone on sale I bought it before I even had a chance to think (read: check my bank balance to see if I could actually afford it). I have this strange love of deer skulls, is that weird? Also the horns and mouth are lethally sharp, so it doubles up as a self defence tool. Always making my money go further, see?

black boots, Boots, candle, ELLE, favourites, IKEA, Kate Moss, lace up, lifestyle, lipstick, month favourites, New Look, pom pom, Primark, style, fashion, home, home decor,

Fur PomPom Keyring - New Look

IT'S JUST SO FLUFFYYYYYY. Okay I'm back. I love this on my keys or as a bag accessory, it makes me feel like I'm part of the Kardashian/Jenner clan (I wish, sorry not sorry). I've got my eyes on a deep burgundy coloured one too, because obviously one giant fur pom pom keyring is not enough?!

Marble Notepad - Tiger

This is my 'Budget Book' - hahaha. No but seriously. My disgustingly bad spending habits are now logged neatly in this, in a hopeful attempt to curb such habits. No luck so far. Will report back soon.

Circle Silver Necklace - Depop

I love my silver jewellery. This is so simple, a slightly longer chocker style and so delicate. It makes my almost completely Primark outfits slightly less.. Primark. If you know what I mean.

black boots, Boots, candle, ELLE, favourites, IKEA, Kate Moss, lace up, lifestyle, lipstick, month favourites, New Look, pom pom, Primark, style, fashion, home, home decor,

Kate Moss Lipstick - Boots

As you'll know from my Life Changing Lipstick post I'm now one of those gals who I never thought I'd be, one who actually wears lipstick. This I keep borrowing off my housemate (thanks honeyyyyy). I love the current beauty trend of vampy deep berry colours (who'd have ever thought those words would come from me?! Beauty trends?!)

black boots, Boots, candle, ELLE, favourites, IKEA, Kate Moss, lace up, lifestyle, lipstick, month favourites, New Look, pom pom, Primark, style, fashion, home, home decor,

Black Ankle Boots - New Look Premium

If you don't have a pair of black ankle boots in your wardrobe, stop reading this immediately and go and buy yourself a pair. You know when people talk about 'staple wardrobe pieces'? They are most definitely one. My last pair featured in many a outfit post, but the time had come to refresh, renew (read: they were falling to pieces so I had to buy a new pair). These are a New Look Premium offering, so a little more pricey, but hopefully won't fall apart so quickly!

What are your November favourites?

I'm sorry. I've committed the unspoken crime. A Christmas post in November. I am truly sorry.

But then again, Halloween is over, it's been Bonfire Night for us Brits and Thanksgiving is just been for those US readers. So what else am I supposed to be excited for?! Christmas of course?! And it is nearly December...

Anyway, enough of the Christmas hype.

If you hadn't noticed from the title, the lovely people at Fat Face contacted me about collaborating again of course I jumped at the chance. (If you haven't seen my first collaboration post check it out HERE). Fat Face have a great selection of festive knits in some gorgeous colours and patterns, of course I went for the grey option.

Topping grey off with more grey with my grey fedora and being slightly less of a colour hater with the amazing deep berry lipstick.

WISHLIST | Winter Edition ft. Some Colour (!?!!)

ASOS, H and M, Monki, Pull and Bear, winter, wish list, Zara, wishlist, 70's, 70s, colour, utility dress, lace up, pom pom,

If you're questioning the title of this post, it can be explained simply by saying - I hate colour. As illustrated in almost every other wishlist post I've done, and mentioned many a time before; my relationship with clothing that is not a shade of white, grey or black is somewhat, turbulent if you will. In other words I rarely ever wear anything that is not a shade of white, grey or black. So you could say the relationship with colour is pretty much non-existent.

So with this in mind, it came to some considerable surprise to both me and my mum when I picked up a yellow (yes, yellow) dress when we were shopping recently. Following this strange revelation, I've found several pieces that are actually coloured?!

Still not over the 70's trend I love the belted utility style dresses, and lace up detailing. I feel like either of the dresses, the playsuit or mini skirt would look perfect with over the knee boots. Also loving pom poms too, *cough*stereotypicalblogger*cough*, if you can't tell already.

Realising this isn't very winter-y, very little wool and coats etc. Oops.

First off, sorry for the slightly longer-than-usual silence from me. Uni and life have just got in the way, blah blah blah, the usual stuff. And then I left my camera at uni when I went home for week, delaying the post even more?!? (Not hung up on it at all still, promise)

Anyway, back to the real reason you probably started reading.

Confession time. My name is Ellie and I am a stereotypical fashion/lifestyle blogger (if you hadn't already figured that out from the photos), but I love it.

I also really like gin. And people know this, hence all the gin.

And I have a lot of candles. Don't tell my landlord.

Aside from the grim coloured (read: sick coloured) carpets and the bog standard "beech wood effect" furniture, I do really love my new uni room. In fact, to be completely honest we managed to get a very nice house - for student housing - much to the agitation of our various friends (mwhaha, sorry not sorry).

I adore interiors. I just can't get enough. So I had plans for this room, having more space and surfaces to decorate and style. However with the previously stated questionable details, I know it will never turn out as Pinterest-worthy as I've dreamt up. Speaking of Pinterest though, I've had an epiphany how to actually use it (I think?!), so check out my profile HERE or via the link below!

Check out my FIRST YEAR ROOM TOUR and my original ROOM TOUR too.

LIFESTYLE | 13 Things I'd Tell My 13-Year-Old Self

13 things I'd tell my 13 year old self - advice, lifestyle, birthday, teenage, twenty

If you didn't already know (I've told pretty much the world and it's wife/dog/cat/rabbit) it's my birthday on Tuesday - eek! This birthday will mark the end of my years as a teenager, which, quite frankly, is really really weird. I don't feel nearly ready enough to be 'in her twenties', it feels like yesterday I was sat in the school canteen with friends who are now scattered across the country.. Thinking back to my young teenage self, this is what I'd love to have sat the pre-moody-teenager Ellie down and drummed into her head. If only for time travel, hey?

1. IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD

It may seem like it is at the time but seriously, life goes on, it's really not that bad. Just think to yourself, will this matter in 5, 10, 15 years time? Will you even remember it?!

2. DON'T WASTE TEARS OVER BOYS

This relates back to point 1. Listen to all those probably fake Marilyn Monroe quotes floating around of the internet, boys really are not worth your tears. I promise.

3. STEP AWAY FROM JACK WILLS

It's really not that great. Don't get me wrong, some of their pieces are lovely, but honestly El, you don't need to wear at least one item of Jack Wills. Every. Single. Day.

4. SOME PEOPLE WHO SEEM TO BE YOUR FRIENDS AREN'T

Ouch. I know. It hurts. But it's a bittersweet truth that you're just going to have to come to terms with. Throughout your whole teenage life, and probably for the rest of your adult life too. It hurts, but your life will be SO much better without them.

5. DON'T BE SO NEGATIVE ABOUT SCHOOL

It's there for a reason and will be over before you know it. Not only that, but there will be times in the future where you'll be wishing you could go back to the simplicity of it all.

6. JOIN A SPORTS TEAM

They're fun and will make you exercise. Not only that, but you'll be able to join a sports team at college or uni, which present day you currently is sad you can't really take part in because you skipped P.E. lessons feigning 'lady pains'.

7. DON'T BE NASTY TO YOUR PARENTS

It's more than likely they're only doing it because they care. Plus, you'll regret it. Every time. Learn to appreciate them, they're the only people that'll love you unconditionally, and be there to give you a cuddle and tell you everything will be alright when you need it most.

8. DON'T STRESS ABOUT NOT KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU 'GROW UP'

You don't need to have it all figured out right now - and you won't have it all figured out at 20 either. Just keep doing what you like, don't follow the crowd. Eventually you'll find something you'll want to devote a career too. (Hopefully).

9. LOOK AFTER YOUR BODY

Getting on that healthy-eating-daily-exercise bandwagon as soon as you can. It'll seriously pay off getting into the right habits. Because believe me sister, it gets so much harder as you get older. And I have on good authority it'll continue to get harder for the rest of your life.

10. DON'T DO THINGS/BUY THINGS/SAY THINGS/ACT IN CERTAIN WAYS JUST BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE ARE

To be fair to you, you're a hell of a lot better at this than a lot of people your age. But just because your BFF is being rude to her parents and being troublesome in lessons, doesn't mean you have to do it too. Leading me nicely onto my next point...

11. IT'S OKAY TO BE A GEEK

It's not uncool to enjoy school and enjoy learning. It's okay to like science. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks about it. Science is frickin' interesting as hell. It doesn't matter what's 'cool'. Without the 'uncool' things, the 'cool' things wouldn't even exist.

12. ENJOY BEING YOUNG

Not having to worry about money and deadlines and bills. Seriously make the most of it. It's not pretty (a.k.a. your skin will show it). It's not fun. It's not something to look forward to. Sorry. Enjoy it while you can.

13. SMILE WOMAN

Life really isn't that bad. Be happy. Be grateful for what you have. Keep smiling gal*

*despite your chronic resting bitch face.

What would you tell your 13-year-old self if you had the chance?

ban.do, current obsession, getting organised, lifestyle, organiser, planner, stationary, uni, University, agenda, bando, ban.do, current obsession, getting organised, lifestyle, organiser, planner, stationary, uni, University, agenda, bando,
I am not organised. I wish I was, I really do, but I just haven't ever, in my almost 20 years on the earth, quite got the hang of it.

If you don't already know, I recently started my second year of Uni. Since restarting I've been desperate to get more organised. I really was the furthest away from organised last academic year. Honestly could barely have organised a piss up in a brewery - my housemates could definitely vouch for that fact.

When I bought this ban.do agenda, us UK gals lost out a bit as ban.do are a US company so shipping to us over the pond is preeetty steep (read: bloody expensive). Lucky for me, my darling housemate who is from the US was kind enough to let me order one to her address there and she bought it back for me. After all that faff, ASOS along with a cohort of other UK websites decided to start stocking them. Typical.

It really is just such a perfect planner though, possibly more aimed at 14-year-old girls but you know what, sometimes you've got to let your inner 14-year-old have their day.

I've been pretty good so far, with the addition of some neon pens (obvs, I'm fully 14-year-old-girl-ing), my planner has come in pretty useful and I've been feeling more on track with the things I've got to do and have planned.

Also, check out how pretty their WEBSITE is!? I've got my eye on their 'but first, coffee' travel mug..

Over the Knee Boots - Public Desire // Khaki Knitted Dress - Primark // Deer Skull Ring - Rose Garden Waterfall

As I mentioned in my previous post, my most recent purchase - as a little payday treat from me to me - has been a pair of over the knee boots. I've been lusting after a pair for too long now; so after experiencing that delightful feeling of checking my bank balance and seeing I'd been paid, I went for it.

I was a small part sceptical that I'd not be able to pull them off. They are a pretty out-there piece, especially for my standards. As well as my slightly unusually muscular calves adding to my worries. Lucky for me, Public Desire's 'Logan' style are soft and stretchy so easily fit the uncommon shape of my legs.

My only problem is that as I walk they slip down my legs, something I guess I should have realised was going to happen. It does get a tad frustrating having to yank them up every few steps though. Tightening the lace up detailing at the back seemed to help slightly. Wearing jeans/tight underneath should probably do the trick too (and maybe with the extra help of a safety pin).

I've already got hundreds of outfit ideas knocking around in my head, can't wait to try them out and write more posts featuring my new babies (sorry, I had to say it).

Do you own a pair of over the knee boots? How would/do you style them?

p.s. sorry about my gross carpet!
