April Wishlist: Is Spring Finally Here?

Hasn't this recent weather been absolutely gorgeous?! If you don't live in England or in the South you possibly will not know how lovely the weather has been recently! I have to tell you this Vitamin D has put me in such a great mood, it's so lovely and refreshing not to have to wrap up loads before you leave the house.

Anyway, this wishlist is sort of to celebrate this weather - hence the crop top and shorts, I'm going all out!
I really fancy myself wearing blazers this year, I love all the looks I've seen other bloggers create with them. However I haven't ventured into buying one yet, I need to find the perfect one (which this white one may just be!).

Another big feature of this post is the gorgeous earrings (Number 3). They are from a fabulous website called Lydali which has recently been brought to my attention. Not only are all the products on their website absolutely stunning, but you can find out exactly who produced each piece and where they're from. So you know exactly what your buying and where it's come from, each piece has it's own story - which I personally think is so much more exciting than buying a mass produced product, which you have no idea where it's come from. The lovely people at Lydali say 'products are inspired by the beauty found in remote areas of the globe', they're all unique and so gorgeous. Meet the producers here and buy the lovely products here

I will definitely be getting my hands on at least one piece as soon as pay day rolls along! Any purchases will be blogged about as soon as they arrive, don't you worry. Eek I'm so excited already!

Have any of you bought anything from Lydali before? Or will you be buying something soon? Let me know!

Oops, I've been shopping again!

(Sing the title to this post to the tune of 'Oops I Did It Again' by Britney, that's what I did haha!)

Anyway, back to sanity. I've been absolutely drowning in college work recently, hence the posts being thin on the ground. I hopefully will have a few guest posts coming up for you lovely followers, just until I get my feet back on the ground after all this revision and exam business. If any of you would like to do a guest post for me, please don't hesitate to drop me an email!

So back to all this shopping I've been doing. As you can see I've got me some more black boots, and that I've also been raiding the stock of Next2Nowt (if you haven't already check it out now, it's amazing!). The crop top was such a bargain for £9.99, I can't believe it. I absolutely adore the print, it's so unique and looks much more expensive than I was hahaha! I can't seem to find it on the website though, so sorry about that. The jumper is gorgeously soft and cosy, but also quite thin so it's nice to wear on slightly warmer days too.

Grey Jumper - Topshop via Next2Nowt (similar here)
Black boots - Topshop via Next2Nowt
Necklace - H&M via eBay (similar here)
Crop Top - H&M
Silver Hoop Earrings - Monsoon
Nail Varnishes - Topshop 'Carnival' and 'Flamingo Coral'

I've recently discovered a love for hoop earrings and I'm not really sure why. Personally I think these Monsoon pair are quite tasteful and elegant, I can't stop wearing them! Adding to my jewellery collection as well was this gorgeous neon yellow necklace. I had my eye on it when it was in the shops, so when I saw it on eBay I had to snap it up!

These boots are very similar to those in my haul from a whole ago (here), but with a smaller heel so they a lot better for everyday use. They're suede so I'm going to have to chose the days I wear them wisely to avoid the rain ruining them! They were another bargain at only £28 when they're originally £62?!

If any of you follow me on Instagram you will already have seen a picture of these nail polishes. I feel I've been missing out all this time, so I finally got some Topshop nail varnishes - and they do not disappoint! I'm tying to trick myself into thinking it's warmer than it is by getting these bright colours, but I'm not sure if it's working. The orange shade is actually a bit brighter than it looks in the picture. The 'Flamingo Coral' shade is being elusive on the Topshop website as well, so no direct link for that either I'm afraid.

Have any of you been shopping recently? (I'm sure you have!) Grabbed any bargains or bought anything lovely? Let me know, I'd love to hear.

Also FOR THIS WEEK ONLY, get a whopping 25% off Motel Rocks with my code 'ellieetc' - go grab yourselves something pretty!

Get The Look: Marina Diamandis

Marina Lambrini Diamandis, otherwise known as Marina and the Diamonds, is currently my favourite person, ever. I adore her cool retro-vintage style and I love her music - plus she’s absolutely gorgeous! So to honour her amazing-ness (yes I realise that’s not actually a word, but I felt it was appropriate for this situation), I thought I’d do another ‘Get The Look‘ post. Much like my previous Made In Chelsea one (that’s here if those of you who haven’t seen it would like to check it out!). So now you can steal her fabulous style for yourselves.
I wish I had her entire wardrobe to be honest. I especially love the neon pieces which are right on trend at the moment, so my wardrobe will definitely be seeing some neon in the very near future!

If you haven't heard any of Marina's music here are some of my favourites:

Do any of you love Marina and her style as much as I do? Is there any other celebs you’d like me to do a ‘Get The Look’ for? Comment below as usual to let me know, love hearing from you!

March: Month Favourites

This is (possibly) a new monthly feature to ellie etc - Month Favourites. Just some bits and bobs that I've been loving the current (or in this case, previous) month. I may not do this every month, or even ever again if no one likes it, haha! But we shall see how it goes.

1. Essie A Crewed Interest
I dedicated a whole post to this lovely spring Essie shade and another a bought recently, hereA Crewed Interest has become a firm favourite, and has barely left my finger nails this month.

2. Vera Wang Princess
I have had this for a while (as you can probably tell by the usage), but I have been wearing it a lot more this month. I've had several comments on how lovely it smells, so I'd say it's an all round crowd pleaser.

3. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lip Balm
This is been an absolute godsend recently! As hose Brits amongst you will know, here in Britain is been a very chilly start to spring! This lip balm has saved my lips from all the nasty things the cold weather brings.

4. Earrings (similar)
I dug these out of the depths of my jewellery box the other day and remembered just how gorgeous they are! They were a purchase from good old Primark several years ago, but they have stolen my heart all over again. (They're actually much more pink in real life, I don't know why but these photos show them looking very washed out!)

5. Company Magazine
My all time favourite magazine. The lovely people at Company hit the nail on the head with the tricky balance between high fashion and affordable. My years subscription was one of my favourite Christmas presents! This month was even more of a favourite, as it had the gorgeous Emma Stone on the cover!

6. Eye Mask
As it has been getting lighter in the mornings (yay!), this little baby has been coming in very handy for those days I haven't got to be up for college. It has taken a bit of getting used to, and still sometimes I'm not completely comfortable wearing it. But the pros outweigh the cons at the moment!

What are your March favourites? And what do you think of this post, would you like to see it as a regular monthly feature? Comment below and let me know!
